Terrific Transport

We love our 'On the move' topic!

In our science lessons, we have been investigating which material is best for making model planes. We made a hypothesis (prediction) and then made our planes out of the different materials.

We chose to test paper, fabric, foil, tissue, cardboard and newspaper. We measured how far each plane travelled and made sure we started from the same place every time so that it was fair.

We got lots of different answers but most groups found out that paper or card were the best materials for making a plane!

We also LOVE playing in our fantastic garage roleplay area.
We practice cleaning the cars and have lots of tools to fix them.

We were interested in finding out what is under the bonnet of a real car so we went to explore Mrs McDonald's car!
Can you remember what all of the different parts are for?                      engine                       steering wheel     dipstick                           fuel tank   pedals                    ignition                                                             indicators                                      headlights                                                               brake lights                                                          mirrors
